Barbara Tomasic is an award-winning director of theatre, with a passion for large-scale musicals. She has worked across Canada directing, acting, producing, and developing new works, in demand because her skills as a musician, educator, singer, dancer, actor and producer have branded her as a director who approaches the work from all sides, and is able to collaborate on every level. Barbara has worked with such companies as The Arts Club Theatre Company, Soulpepper Theatre, Chemainus Theatre, Prairie Theatre Exchange, and the Firehall Arts Centre. She is currently the Director of Artistic Programs at Gateway Theatre and was formerly the Co-Artistic Director at Musical Theatreworks, a company that specializes in developing new musical works.
Recently Barbara directed the hit production of Kinky Boots at Arts Club Theatre, which thrilled audiences and won an Ovation Award for Best Production. Her production of Crazy for You was nominated for three Jessie awards, including outstanding director, and 12 Ovation awards for which it won for Outstanding Director, Production, Choreography and Set Design.
As an educator, Barbara has a passion for mentoring young artists through theatre training. She was on the Musical Theatre faculty at Capilano University for 8 years and has taught voice, musical theatre and acting at UBC, Studio 58 and CCPA, and is a private coach for professional actors. Barbara is thrilled to be at Camp Cue for her first year!

Matthew Armet has been working professionally as a performer, choreographer, instructor and adjudicator for over 15 years. He has performed on some of Canada’s most prestiges stages including the Stratford Festival, the Shaw Festival, the Charlottetown Festival, and many regional theatres from coast-to-coast. Some of his favourite theatre credits include: A Chorus Line, 42nd Street, Crazy for You, White Christmas, High School Musical, and Hairspray. Matt recently choreographed Fame with Tyrell for Winnipeg Studio Theatre and was the choreographer for Rent at Rainbow Stage this summer. You can see him on screen in Feist’s music videos for 1234 and My Moon My Man, in the boy band Soundcheck on Netflix’s Odd Squad, and in The Porter and Skymed on CBC. Matt has taught workshops and masterclasses across the country including classes with the Stratford Festival, RWB, University of Winnipeg, and the University of Manitoba. Tyrell is an accomplished triple threat performer with over 25 years of experience in theatre, dance, film, and television. This winter, you can watch Tyrell as Marty in Hallmark’s Never Been Chris’d. Other film and TV highlights include Bring It On: Cheer or Die (Syfy), Hellcats (CW), Once Upon A Time (ABC), Girl VS Monster (Disney). Having performed on stages across the country, Tyrell’s favourites include Rent, West Side Story, Beauty and the Beast, Mamma Mia, Mary Poppins, Anne of Green Gables, and You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. As a choreographer, Tyrell recently choreographed Fame alongside Matthew for Winnipeg Studio Theatre, was the assistant choreographer on The Hockey Sweater at Rainbow Stage, associate choreographer on West Side Story, performance lead and choreographer for Skip the Dishes’ Deliver with Pride campaign, and was the choreographer for the feature film, Nobody. Tyrell is a sought-after dance educator and adjudicator with a passion to inspire young performers to keep chasing their dreams and elevate their skills to the next level. Raugi Yu originally from Montreal, is a graduate of The Dome Theatre program at Dawson College and The BFA Acting program at UBC. He has acted in various theatres across Canada and the U.S. Moving seamlessly between stage and film. You may recognize him from roles in, The Shoplifters, The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night Time (Arts Club) Coriolanus (Bard On The Beach) The East Van Panto: Alice In Wonderland(Theatre Replacement/The Cultch), Bad Parent by Ins Choi, world premiere at Soulpepper.
On screen, you may remember Raugi from shows like Mr. Young, jPod, and Kung-Fu. Last year completing his first production as Director for a feature film Attic Trunk which dropped on Apple last March.
Raugi is an instructor, private coach, and mentor to many actors.
His favorite teaching and learning tool is genuine curiosity from the heart and he is always curious about the, “Who am I?”
Upcoming: Raugi will be on The Cultch Historic stage in a new play by Pippa Mackie (November/December 2023) and Cambodian Rock Band for the Arts Club Theatre (April/May 2024).

When he's not teaching K-7 music in West Van, you can find Peter composing, improvising, directing, or performing music somewhere around Metro Vancouver. He's currently composing for two new musicals with local playwrights and collaborators. Selected productions include Something Rotten! with TUTS, a special charity concert of Dear Evan Hansen with Laughing Matters Theatre, 9 to 5: The Musical at Capilano University, and the Ovation nominated 2019 Vancouver Fringe hit, Amélie, with West Moon Theatre. Peter has attended Chicago's Second City Training Center and is a frequent flyer to the Broadway Teachers Workshops in New York City. He’s also a teaching artist for the Vancouver Opera, and accompanies/teaches for Gateway Theatre's Academy.

Kate Gombar is a Vancouver-born, New York City based dancer. She is currently in her junior
year at Marymount Manhattan College, working towards her Bachelor of Fine Arts in modern
dance. Kate began dancing at three years old, training at Tri-City Dance Centre until
graduation. She trained in RAD ballet to Advanced 2, jazz, musical theatre, tap, hip-hop,
contemporary and lyrical. She has received numerous scholarships and awards from local and
international competitions and conventions. Kate has had the opportunity to work with
choreographers such as Stacey Tookey, Chantel Aguirre, Kate Harpootlian, Cameron
McKinney, Gabrielle Lamb, Karen Gayle, and many more. Kate is very excited to share her
knowledge and inspire the next generation of artists, this summer, at Camp Cue!

Hayden is delighted to be at Camp Cue again! From South Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, Hayden is a rising senior pursuing a BFA in Dance and a Masters in Legal Studies at the University of Southern California. He has performed throughout Canada, the United States of America, and the Bahamas and was a guest artist at A.I.M by Kyle Abraham's recent program at The Joyce in New York City. He recently served as associate choreographer for USC's production of Sondheim on Sondheim and his short films have played in film festivals all around North America. He has worked on projects such as Disney's Descendants 3, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, and So You Think You Can Dance. He also was a principle and choreographer for the “Body of Mine Virtual Reality Experience” which took home a Special Jury Award at SXSW’s 2023 Festival.

Julia MacLean (she/her) is thrilled to be coming back to Camp Cue this summer! She is a performer born and raised on the unceded and ancestral territories of the Kwikwetlem, Musqueam, Squamish, Stó:lō, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. Julia is entering her 4th and final year at Sheridan College, where she will be obtaining her Honors Bachelor of Music Theatre Performance Degree. Her love and dedication to the performing arts is accompanied by 16 years of training. She has performed all over the Lower Mainland, with select credits including: Newsies (TUTs), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Gateway), Jasper In Deadland (Vancouver Fringe Festival), Little Women and 13 the musical (BOTco), Billy Elliot and A Christmas Story (Artsclub), and Little Mermaid (Align Entertainment). Julia finds immense joy and inspiration in storytelling and, in recent years, has also found great fulfillment in sharing that joy with young people in the performing arts. She cannot wait to return to Camp Cue and have the most fun!

Mandy is a Vancouver-based stage manager holding a B.A. in Theatre Studies and Sociology from UBC. She started her stage management journey with UBC Theatre and hasn’t looked back since! Some favourite stage management credits include The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical (CTORA), Naked Radio (Chemainus Theatre Festival), Soldiers of Tomorrow (Elbow Theatre), Anne of Green Gables (Gateway Theatre), Peter Pan Goes Wrong (Arts Club), Made in Italy (Arts Club), The Wait List Experiment (Some Assembly Theatre). When Mandy is not wearing a headset, you can find her curled up with a book and probably camping by a lake!

Sam Krochmal is an Actor and Photographer based in Vancouver, BC. After moving out to the west coast to attend film school, Sam has been focusing his energy on the film, television, and voiceover industries. He has worked on a variety of professional productions, including: “The Flash”, “Nancy Drew”, and “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters”. In his free time, you’ll probably find Sam snapping shots in his studio, hitting the hiking trails, or buying another plant he doesnt have room for. Sam says he isn't very good at musical theatre, but he loves it all the same. He can’t wait to return to Camp Cue for the second straight year!

Devon is an actor, singer-songwriter, and human muppet. If there is a joke to be made or a motivational speech to be given, she is on the scene and ready to rock. She is a believer in lifelong training and prioritizing fulfillment, and as such her training and experience is vast and varied. Devon has trained in Stand-up, Improv, and Writing at The Second City in Chicago, and has also completed the Arts Club Actors Intensive. As well, she has studied Shakespeare with Bard Studio and trained privately with Luisa Jojic through the Fulfilling Young Artists Mentorship Program. One of her most pivotal professional experiences was playing Rose Fenny in ‘Dogfight’, for which she was nominated for ‘Best Actress in a Musical’ at Seattle’s Gregory Awards. Most recently, she played Jan in ‘Grease’ at Western Canada Theatre. Devon is also an accomplished voice actor, multi-instrumentalist, and a very enthusiastic mover.
